  St. Mary's is a diverse worship center. Worshippers of different backgrounds come together to be more Christ-like.

  St. Mary's is s wonderful friendly involved church with a special history. St Mary's is historically African American, going beck to the year 1928. ALL people are welcome here who want to be part of a positive uplifting community. Over the years this church has welcomed people from all over the world, leading to a worship community that reflects the diversity of the family of God. It is a great place to learn more about your Catholic faith, and welcomes everyone, whether cradle Catholic, convert or returning to the faith. Fr. Strollo gives good classes that are schedule-friendly for working people. They have potlucks and historical and cultural events that provide an opportunity for the community to come together. They respect diversity of belief and life experience to the extent that Catholic doctrine permits. They demonstrate "church" in the larger meaning of what God intended, beyond the social stereotype.
